Politics is Over. It's War.
It's a brand-new game. And Democrats don't have a clue.
I haven’t written anything for a while. Once it became clear that Trump was going to get everything he wanted and more – from both Congress and the courts, I thought there was little point in writing anything, or even watching the news. The battle was already lost. Why sit all the way through a crappy movie when you know how it’s going to end?
I write today because I believe we are at a new phase, and it’s something that both the Democrats and the mainstream media fail to realize. If they did, the media would be reporting on the monstrous details of the obscene bill Republicans just passed and calling out the stunning cowardice of each Republican who’s responsible. Instead, the talking heads are spending hours and hours of valuable TV time helplessly hand-wringing about whatever happens to be the story of the week. (This week it’s the Epstein files, a story I doubt will change a single Republican vote at the end of the day.)
And if the Democrats realized that it’s now a brand-new ballgame, they just might change their tune, realizing they’ve been bringing a stapler to a gunfight all along, not having any idea of what they’re really up against.
Instead, all the talk is about winning the House in 2026. Are you kidding me? What makes anybody think that Trump will stand for a fair election, especially when it almost certainly means a third impeachment? I mean, how clueless can you possibly be?
So… are you tired of feeling powerless to do anything except to rage at your TV screen or attend rallies that end up accomplishing nothing?
Here’s the deal:
American Politics is over. Face it. Take your policy positions, party definititions and hope in the legislative process and throw them all out the window. America’s traditional political map has been erased and we’ve entered an entirely new age where the old rules no longer apply.
American democracy is dead. There is no Republican Party. There is no viable Democratic Party. There are only two camps: The American Nazis and the rest of us.
And it’s the Nazis who are in control. Quite possibly for the foreseeable future.
This is not politics. It’s war. And every American has to choose a side.
It’s not a shooting war… yet. But it almost certainly will end in violence unless the American people rise up... house by house, street by street, neighbor by neighbor to put a stop to it.
The war starts in your own front yard, on your own street, in your own church, but most importantly… on your own computer.
How?
Total social opprobrium. Or, in other words, zero tolerance for Nazis or anyone who supports them.
Do you have friends on social media who support Trump?
Block them - and tell them why.
Friends on social media who vote Republican?
Block them - and tell them why.
Family relations who support Republicans?
Cut them off until/unless they come to their senses and tell them why.
Work associates who vote Republican?
Shun them. Ditto with churchgoing friends.
“Cancel culture?” Hell, yeah! Traitors, cowards, liars, fascists and the willfully ignorant should be canceled every hour of the day, every day of the week, every day of the year. They deserve no less. They need to own what they’ve done.
Republicans have set fire to the Constitution. They’re building concentration camps in Florida. They’re sending masked goons in unmarked cars out into the streets to kidnap people. They’re breaking up families who have done nothing wrong and sending people to hellholes all over the world, without a shred of oversight.
They’re taking your government apart piece by piece so they can get their hands on the money you’ve paid in taxes, Social Security and Medicare. Their cuts in health care will kill millions unnecessarily, all so they can steal $4 trillion of your hard-earned cash to line their own pockets and give away to billionaires.
It’s a daily betrayal of everything America and democracy is supposed to stand for. And each and every Republican in this country is reponsible, as well as anyone and everyone who put them into office.
Betraying your country ought to come with a price. You shouldn’t be able to get away with it scot-free. And if our own government won’t do it, it’s up to the rest of us to make the choice of supporting Republicans to be as painful as it can possibly be.
You might have voted Republican because you thought it would be good for the economy. You might have voted Republican because you thought Republicans would better protect Americans against invaders. You might have voted Republican because you just don’t like Democrats. Fair enough.
But now you know that it was all a con. The biggest con ever perpetuated on the American people. And Republicans are just getting warmed up.
There is no longer any excuse to support… or even tolerate Republicans. Any Republican.
If you support a Republican – any Republican – you’re either stupid, evil... or both.
Period.
That especially goes for all the holy rollers who piously profess their love for Jesus while they look the other way when it comes to Republican rapists and child molesters. You hypocrites are the worst of all, and if I believed in an afterlife, it would comfort me to think that there’s a special place in hell for all of you.
The courts will not save us. The Democratic Party won’t save us. It’s only Americans that can save America, and it starts right here on your screen.
Each one of us is the last line of defense against a new Hitler, but this time, a Hitler who’s feebler, more unstable and dumber than the first one - and with nuclear weapons to boot.
Nobody can say we didn’t see this coming. It’s now up to all of us who stand on the side of good to do our part.
When it comes to Republicans, block them. Shun them. Make them ashamed to show their faces. It starts with each one of us, and we don’t even need to get out of our comfy chairs to do it.
Yeah, it’s not the easiest thing in the world, and there will be scars, no doubt about it.
But Republicans and their supporters richly deserve what they get for tearing our country to shreds. And if we end up hurting a few feelings along the way, it’s a small price to pay for the rest of us to save what we can of our democracy…
If it’s not already too late.
